Project Synopsis: SDCPS’s goal is to develop AI-based approaches that enable correct-by-construction design of military-relevant CPS. SDCPS seeks to reduce the time from CPS inception to deployment from years to months, and enhance innovation in design. To accomplish this, SDCPS will address three intrinsic challenges: accurate prediction of performance prior to implementation of software and physical components; converging design teams, rather than dividing them by discipline boundaries, in order to make complex, interdependent system design decisions more quickly and more soundly; and expanding exploration of the design space to help uncover unconventional, highly performant solutions that typically wouldn’t be developed due to time and resource limitations.
