Colonel Randall S. Verde

PTDO Deputy Director, Land and Expeditionary Warfare

Colonel Verde received his commission as a Signal Officer from Ohio University in 1997. He is a graduate of the Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, The Maneuver Captain Career Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College, and the United States Army War College.

COL Verde is currently performing the duties of (PTDO) Deputy Director in the Office of the Secretary of War, Operational Test and Evaluation. Prior to the War College he was assigned to Headquarters, Department of the Army G8, where he served as the Military Director for the Army Modeling and Simulation Office. Previous non-command assignments include service as a Signal Platoon Leader, Battalion Training Officer, Battalion Assistant S3 in the 57th Signal Battalion, Assistant Division Automation Management Officer in the 2nd ID, Battalion Signal Officer in the 3/504 Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Assistant S3/Signal Officer in the 100/442 Infantry Regiment (Operation Iraqi Freedom) , Battalion Operations Officer in the 1-148 IN BN, Assistant S3 and Simulations Officer in the 25th ID DIVARTY, Exercise Planner in USARPAC, the Lead for the Mission Command Training Support Program in HQDA G3/5/7, G3 Training Officer, and the Director of the Joint Multinational Simulation Center – Indo-Pacific in USARPAC.

His command assignments include 3 months as Commander of B Company, and 34 months as Commander of C Company, 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment, Tiffin Ohio where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Colonel Verde holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Ohio University, a Master of International Relations from Webster University, and Master of Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College.
