Mr. Kevin Westburg

PTDO Deputy Director, Operational Test & Evaluation, Net-centric, Space and Missile Defense Systems

Mr. Kevin Westburg is currently performing the duties of (PTDO) the Deputy Director for Net-centric, Space,
and Missile Defense Systems (NCSMDS) within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, for the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E). In this capacity, he is responsible for the oversight and adequacy of operational test and evaluation for NCSMDS, to confirm operational effectiveness, suitability, and survivability of those systems in combat use.

Mr. Westburg entered the Air Force after graduation from the USAF Academy in 1992 and spent over 21 years on active duty in the Air Force space operations career field, primarily as a space weapons officer and space systems tester. As an experienced space systems tester, he has held test-related positions at the squadron, Major Command, Headquarters Air Force, and levels within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Prior to assuming his current position, he was the executive officer to the Deputy Director and a space systems action officer responsible for oversight of space systems testing. He holds a Defense Acquisition University Test and Evaluation Level III certification. Mr. Westburg entered civil service in 2019.
